Gerald Anderson admitted that he felt relieved that he finally admitted his relationship with Julia Barretto.
The actor had been rumored to be in a relationship with Julia long before they finally admitted it to the public.
According to Gerald, he feels glad and hopes the public would focus on more important matters than his love life. He added how the admission gave him peace of mind.
Gerald said, “Personally, it’s just something na kailangan ko lang gawin siguro for peace of mind. Parang nabunutan ako ng tinik. And wala, after that tuloy lang ang buhay. Merong mas malalaking problema na hinaharap nating lahat kesa sa yung interview ko kay tito Boy (Abunda). Pero personally it’s something that I had to do and move on na.”
In ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye “Init Sa Magdamag,” Gerald Anderson plays the role of Tupe Salcedo, Yam Concepcion’s character’s first love. According to Gerald, he somehow relates to Tupe as to how he has sacrificed a lot for the ones he loves.
He disclosed, “Marami akong na-sakripisyo din dahil sa pag-ibig. Kaya ako na-attract kay Tupe agad kasi he’s very selfless. Isa siyang community doctor sa bundok.”
Like Tupe, Gerald admitted that he loves privately and doesn’t like showing off.
“At kung paano siya magmahal. Hindi siya yung tao na kailangan isigaw sa buong mundo yung pagmamahal niya sa relationship. Kumbaga alam niya ang gusto niya at gagawin niya ang lahat para sa mga taong malapit sa kanya, yung mga mahal niya sa bahay. So siguro doon ako nakaka-relate sa kanya,” he explained.
