- PNP Chief Gen. Debold Sinas lead the other ‘chubby’ cops in a weight loss challenge
- Under Chubby Anonymous Project, the personnel will be under the instruction of fitness coaches and their body mass index will be monitored
- Sinas set himself as an example after he lost 55 pounds
PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas joined other members of the
police force as they participated in a weight loss program.
As part of the World Obesity Day, the PNP launched a weight loss challenge to encourage their members who are classified as obese to lose weight and stay fit. The PNP’s Chubby Anonymous Project is in partnership with the Fit Filipino Movement headed by fitness coaches, Jim and Toni Saret.
Their body mass index will be monitored as a preventive measure against Covid-19. All PNP personnel must also do a four-minute exercise in the morning and again in the afternoon.
Sinas explained the program to the members, “Kailangan, if you join the program committed kayo to change part of your habits at hindi ko kayo tatanggalin kung saan kayo na-assign para sa natural habitat natin, nandun kayo. You adapt on your own and we guide you through, kailangan ‘yung normal duties natin ay nandiyan pa rin at susunod lang tayo sa mga suggestions, recommendations, and guidelines.”
Sinas led the challenge to set himself as an example. After losing 55 pounds for following a strict diet and exercise, Sinas gave encouraging words to the ‘chubby’ cops.
“The relentless, true-to-form, and honest-to-goodness weight loss program of the PNP leadership, past and present, aims to help our personnel be watchful of their weight because I believe that a weight imbalance caused no less by obesity is definitely not healthy, especially in this time of the pandemic. We should be more cautious of our health and physical well-being,” he said.
