Gerald Anderson revealed that instead of sulking over the controversies against him, he has learned to count his blessings.
The actor has been the talk of the town again after he finally admitted that he is in a relationship with Julia Barretto. The admission caused a stir among netizens because when the rumors between the couple began, Gerald was in a relationship with Bea Alonzo.
In his interview with Boy Abunda, Gerald also shared how he handles the criticisms against him.
He said, “I’ve come to terms with it na kahit gaano karami akong trabaho, kahit gaano karaming naniniwala, meron ding hindi maniniwala. Whatever I say now sa interview na to will not magically change my
bashers or ha ters.”
Asked if all the harsh comments affect him, the actor answered that not anymore. He admitted, “Five, three years ago maybe. Pero umabot sa point na, ‘What’s new?’ I’ve heard everything.'”
According to Gerald, he will no longer be doing his new teleserye, “Init sa Magdamag ” which was supposed to reveal details of his personal life.
“I’m controversial. I’m b
ashed because of my personal life and love life. It’s something . . . Hindi ko rin naman ishe-share ’yung intimate details about my life, ’yung mga ginagawa natin sa bahay,” he explained.
In the end, Gerald shared that he is just counting his blessings despite the criticisms against him.
“At the end of the day, ako ’yung pinaka-controversial na tao sa Pilpinas ngayon but I’m so blessed with good health, ’yung pamilya, nakakakain kami araw-araw, may work ako. I can still provide for them. Naibibigay lahat ng gusto nila lalo na ang nanay ko,” the actor remarked.
