Love knows no age! Nicolas Cage tied the knot for the fifth time around even at the age of 57.
The Hollywood actor married his girlfriend Riko Shibata, 26, in a Las Vegas wedding. According to a PEOPLE report, the couple got married in an intimate ceremony at Wynn Hotel held on February 16 to “honor the birthday of the groom’s late father.”
“It’s true, and we are very happy,” Nicolas told PEOPLE in a statement.
Nicolas looked dashing as he wore a Tom Ford tuxedo while his bride Riko wore a handmade Japanese Bridal Kimono. The newlyweds exchanged their vows in both Catholic and Shinto rites.
According to the report, the couple and their guests enjoyed a small celebration after the wedding. They were even joined by Nicolas’ former wife Alice Kim and their son Kal-El.
Nicolas and Riko met in Shiga, Japan more than a year ago. The couple was photographed for the first time together back in February 2020.
According to a report by the Insider, Nicolas and Riko got engaged over FaceTime.
He was quoted saying, “I got her a black diamond engagement ring. Her favorite color is black, so she wanted the black gold and the black diamond. I customized and personalized it, and I actually sent it to her FedEx.”
Before he married Riko, Nicolas married Erika Kooke in March 2019 that lasted only for four days. They got a divorce two months after. Prior to that, Nicolas was also married to Patricia Arquette and Lisa Marie Presley.
