A ceremony was held at the Quezon City Reception House, where Robredo personally received the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for her office. The award was given by Tristan Arwen Loveres, managing director of TÜV Rheinland Philippines. The event was livestreamed on Robredo’s Facebook page.

Loveres lauded the OVP for continuously complying with the international standard and requirements for a quality management system even amid the challenges of pandemic.

“2020 was really a very challenging, very difficult year considering this world health emergency. But you have proven that with hard work, teamwork, and of course strong leadership, we can continuously comply but also survive these very difficult times,” he said.

For Robredo, the ISO certificate was a testament of her office’s good public service amid the pandemic and other disasters we have faced.

ISO 9001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations that have been awarded with the certification shows that they have demonstrated the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

During the awarding ceremony, Robredo said the ISO certification will guide them in “reinventing” the OVP.

“That is reinventing the office not just as far as what we are doing is concerned, but reinventing the office to make the best out of the people here is a big thing,” she said.

The OVP first attained its ISO certification in 2017. The recertification is valid for another three years.
