- Regine admitted its “sayang” that she let that opportunity go
Regine Velasquez admitted that she rejected the offer of Coco Martin for her to guest in the series “Ang Probinsyano.”
Asia’s Songbird revealed that Coco personally asked her to join the long-running action-drama series FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano” on ABS-CBN two years ago. Regine said she had to turn down the offer due to conflict of schedules.
“Yes, may offer dati sa ‘Probinsyano’. Nakakatuwa nga si Coco kasi may dala na talaga siyang storyline para sa akin. At ang ganda ng kuwento na ginawa nila,” she disclosed.
At that time, Regine admitted she was swamped with work and other projects that she had to beg off from Coco’s offer.
“That was last year or two years ago pa, e, ang daming ganap that time, meron kami ni Vice Ganda (concert), then nagkaroon din ng concert with Sarah (Geronimo) and Ate Sharon (Cuneta). So, wala talagang schedule,” Regine added.
Now, she admitted that she regretted letting go of that opportunity and hoped that it’s still not too late.
“Sayang nga, e, but who knows baka pwede pa rin naman dahil hindi pa rin natatapos ang Probinsyano, ‘di ba?” Regine continued.
Meanwhile, many things are up for Regine these days.
She has an upcoming Valentine’s Day virtual concert and has recently been dubbed as the “Queen of OPM”.
While shying away from the title, Regine admitted she feels flattered and grateful for the recognition.
“I am far away from being a queen, but I do work hard. I am very, very passionate (sa career ko) But you know, I’m very flattered and grateful for the title that I’m given, but like I said, I am not at all a queen,” she said.
