Recently, President Rodrigo Duterte revealed that he will not allow the Kapamilya network to return on free tv unless it pays its alleged tax obligations.

Panelo echoed the same sentiment as he told the Lopezes to take a “good look.” He said the network really has avoided tax payments, they should pay it; after all they have earned huge profits through the years.

“Kung ako naman kayo, ito naman ay payong kaibigan. Marami tayong kaibigan diyan. Tingnan ninyo mabuti. If you really see na mayroon naman kayong naiwasan na mga buwis na dapat ninyong mabayaran, eh after all, kayo naman po nagkamal na kayo ng marami ng profits, ilang taon na ‘yan kaya nga kayo lumaki nang lumaki. Ibig sabihin mayroon kayong pambayad, bayaran na lang ninyo,” Panelo said during his “Counterpoint” program.

“Kaya pag-aralan ninyong maigi. Magbayad na lang kayo ng buwis. Ano ba naman ‘yun. Pera lang ‘yun. Kikitain ninyo rin ‘yun,” he added.

Meanwhile, Panelo also talked about the President’s critics and told them to set aside their biases and appreciate the good works Duterte has done.

“Hindi n’yo iniisip, kumbaga naiimpluwensiyahan kayo ng ayaw ninyo sa Presidenteng ito, so lahat ng puwedeng ginawa niya o nilunsad niya na makabubuti sa mga kababayan natin, hindi kayo naniniwala,” he said.

“Ayaw nila kay Presidente. ‘Yun ang problema. They cannot accept him. And as such, anything that he does is wrong, is bad. You have to go beyond your biases,” Panelo added.
