The boxing-champ-turned-senator revealed his thoughts on what would make him consider running for the highest political seat in the country. For Pacquiao, it would be up to destiny and God if he will do a presidential run.

Maraming nagsubok pero maraming nabigo,” Pacquiao told journalist Malou Mangahas on “The Mangahas Interviews.”

He added that his decision will be based on what God would want. “Kung papayagan ng Panginoon ‘yan,” Pacquiao stated.

For now, Pacquiao revealed that his focus is still on serving his duties as a senator. He admitted that he didn’t wish to be where he is now but everything has a purpose. Pacquiao said he wanted to inspire others not just in sports but in serving the people.

Nandito ako for a purpose and that purpose ay to be an inspiration to the Filipino people na maging isang halimbawa, ‘di lamang sa larangan ng boxing kundi sa larangan ng public service,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao continued that we must all pray that our next President would show genuine care and love for the Filipinos.
