A Syrian vlogger known for his generosity is stepping up again to help Filipinos.
With the passage of Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act, motorists have been scrambling to purchase a car seat for their children. And while many understand the necessity of the law, many also lament how expensive these car seats can be.
Basel Manadil, also known as the Hungry Syrian Wanderer took it upon himself to help out a few Pinoys to have their own car seats.
On his Facebook page, he shared he has gone “car seat shopping” to be given away to random Filipinos.
Basel wrote, “I went around to buy car seats to be given away for FREE to random Filipinos. There’s a new law in the Philippines that requires car seats for children 12 years old and below aboard private vehicles. So I decided to share blessings and give away a lot of car seats to random families who own cars, as I believe not everyone who owns a car can afford to buy especially during this pandemic where everyone is affected financially.”
He found out that due to the high demand, there are none available in stores.
Basel continued, “As usual everywhere is sold out so I already pre-ordered car seats from different stores, mga tao, it might take several days. Stay safe and drive safe, mga tao!”
Basel also shared his surprise at how expensive the car seats are. He said that even at a 50 percent discount, each car seat is still priced between P12,000 to P15,000.
