Even with all the fame of being a celebrity, the beauty queen revealed that she went through challenges involving her mental health. On her Instagram Stories, Pia answered a series of “true or false” questions. At one point, a netizen asked Pia if it is true that she has “gone through depression.”

Pia confirmed that it’s true and answered, “This is true. I’ve gone through some lows in my life. We shouldn’t be embarrassed to share that. Kahit naman sino may pinagdadaanan.”

She also wrote on her Story, “True. There’s nothing wrong with sharing the realities of life. May mga moments din ako na di ako naging okay. It’s okay not to be okay.’

A social media user also asked Pia if she expected to receive all the blessing she has right now. She answered that she still looks back and recalls the hardships she went through before she made a name for herself.

“True, minsan naisip ko pa rin yung mga pinagdaan ko noon. ‘Yung rejection, ‘yung hirap ng buhay. Mag-isa lang ako sa Manila, tapos, basta lahat ng pinagdaanan ko,” Pia answered.
