During the celebration of the party’s 75th founding anniversary, LP President Senator Francis Pangilinan revealed that their “massive recruitment” is part of their plan in 2021.

Pangilinan said the party would continue with its commitment to uphold democratic values. He also noted how the LP had produced four Presidents of the Philippines in the past.

Pangilinan went on to note the developments that the party has achieved under his leadership. He added how they want to prove that they are true “people’s party” by welcoming ordinary citizens as members.

Nais nating maging tunay na people’s party,” he said.

Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo, chairperson of the party, was pleased with the initiative to include the public and not just politicians in the party.
