Judy Ann Santos shared how thrilled she is with the positive feedback she received from Chef Gene Gonzales.
Since she opened her first restaurant in Taft Avenue, Manila called Angrydobo with husband Ryan Agoncillo in 2019, Judy Ann has taken her food business seriously. Last 2020, she soon expanded and opened another Angry Adobo branch in Alabang and also a pizza parlor in the same area.
And just like any restaurateur, Judy Ann was overwhelmed when she received a good review about her dishes. This time, she couldn’t help but share how happy she is that it was from her mentor, chef Gene Gonzalez, who is also the president of the Center for Asian Culinary Studies & Cafe Ysabel Inc.
According to Juday, Chef Gene tried some of her original dishes such as lugaw with adobo sauce, Kaldedobo, tokwa’t dobo, and the Chocnut sansrival.
On her Instagram Story, Judy Ann reposted chef Gene’s IG Stories where she referred to him as her “Dumbledore” and admitted that “Yung kilig ko abot hanggang moon.”
She also made a post to share the screenshot of Chef Gene praising her dishes’ flavor and texture. Judy Ann went on to thank Chef Gene for his honest review.
She wrote, “I CANNOT!!! Waaahhhh!! Oh wow! That happy, unbelievable feeling when your professor gives his honest review over the dishes you made! Gusto kong mahimatay! Pero mas gusto kong namnamin ang saya at pagod at the same time! Every bit of time and effort we put for angrydobo is purely #madefromlove. @chefgenegonzalez from the bottom of my heart, I will forever be grateful for the knowledge, encouragement, and faith you have given me.”
Craving now for some Angrydobo treats? You should!
