- She was with her son, Thirdy, to celebrate his birthday and Christmas
- The actress said she has always loved traveling and had long waited until it was possible to travel abroad
Jodi Sta. Maria had a vacation with his son Thirdy to Tanzania, East Africa.
While the trip was supposed to be for Christmas and Thirdy’s birthday celebration, Jodi just recently shared their escapade on her latest vlog via her YouTube channel. Jodi shared how different it was to travel under the “new normal” and how they needed the vacation from the challenges of the pandemic.
“It is our first time to visit this country and as always it feels so good to relax, rest and just pause to enjoy the beauty of the world despite our current situation,” she added.
The Kapamilya actress disclosed that she hopes her vlog could help those who are also planning to travel outside the country.
“Before we left, kinailangan namin kumuha ng certification from Red Cross na wala kaming coronavirus. Pumunta kami sa Philippine Red Cross sa Mandaluyong para kuhanan ng swab test,” Jodi shared.
The actress explained how important it was for her to travel and take a break. She said she waited until the time came that it was safe to travel abroad.
“Siyempre alam ng mga subscribers ko na I’m a wanderlust hindi ‘ba? Because the world went into a lockdown, siyempre nag-quarantine, traveling was not possible. Until such time na ang mundo din naman ay unti-unting nag-open ng kanilang mga doors para sa mga turista,” Jodi said.
Their travel took over 37 hours, flying from Manila to Dubai to Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. They went on two other domestic flights including Kilimanjaro and Lake Ndutu.
