Alden Richards looked back at the struggles and challenges he had been through to get to his spot in showbiz.
On Eat Bulaga’s “Bawal Judgmental” segment, the actor recalled how he started as a commercial model. Alden, whose hometown is Sta. Rosa, Laguna often had difficulty looking for money to pay for his trips.
“Actually, kasi every audition, mahirap siya kasi galing akong probinsya. Kailangan kong lumuwas ng Maynila,” he said.
“So, yung pamasahe, ‘yon yung number one concern. Kasi siyempre, not enough ‘yung suweldo ng dad ko dun sa current job na nakuha niya,” he added.
According to Alden, he had to juggle studying and finding work as a model. He admitted that he was often not chosen during auditions and it started affecting his confidence.
Alden began doubting himself because he felt he was nothing compared to his competitors because even his clothes weren’t new.
He said, “And at the same time, parang pag may mga ganoon akong nakakasama sa mga audition, nakakapanliit.
Looking back at his experiences, Alden became emotional realizing how far along he had come. He feels thankful that he gets to take care of his family’s needs and even give them more.
