AC Bonifacio is reportedly the first Filipino to appear on the Hollywood TV series, “Riverdale.”
Kapamilya dancer will appear on the 5th season of the popular US teen show. On her Instagram, AC gave a sneak peek into her appearance on the show which was a dance showdown with the series’ main character, Cheryl Blossom, played by American actress Madelaine Petsch.
“Here’s my page 1/365 submission 🙂 startin off the year right w a lil sneak peek to #Riverdale Season 5!” AC captioned her post.
The same teaser was posted by the show’s creator Roberto Sacasa on social media. “2021 Goals. Buckle up, Gang. #Riverdale returns on the @thecw,” Roberto announced.
The new season of “Riverdale” is set to premiere in the US this January 20.
As expected, AC’s post was filled with congratulatory messages from her fans and friends. “That’s my best friend!” Kyle Echarri commented. “I can’t believe it’s finally coming out,” Darren Espanto wrote. “NO WAYYYYYY AGHH LOOK AT YOU!!!” Moira Dela Torre exclaimed.
Last July, AC won 2nd place in Blackpink’s “How You Like That” dance cover contest.
In 2016, AC was part of “Lucky Aces,” a duo that won a Filipino TV dance competition. Her partner was Lucky Ancheta. Due to their popularity, the duo was featured on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and performed with Ariana Grande at a show in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Back in 2010, Charice Pempengco also appeared on a TV series, the hit musical drama “Glee” as Sunshine Corazon.
