The viral bread vendor who gained the sympathy of many netizens has received Christmas gifts.

Tatay Eduardo, the vendor who sells bread along a footbridge in North EDSA, received Christmas gifts from kind netizens. It can be recalled that the vendor became viral last year after a netizen shared photos of him online. Despite his age and the hard work of standing at a footbridge for hours, Tatay Eduardo still sells his bread with a huge smile.

Recently, netizen Desiree Dy Cunanan shared that Tatay Eduardo has returned to selling bread again in his usual spot in the footbridge. Many thought Tatay Eduardo has already found a much comfortable means to earn. Unfortunately, he skipped selling because he had been sick.

Tatay Eduardo, who is suffering from kidney complications, is calling for financial help for his medication. Lucky for him, the kind hearted members of the Facebook group Quarantine Tribute Tips made a donation drive for his benefit.

The members were able to raise P9,670, which was used to buy rice, milk, and groceries for Tatay Eduardo. The remaining P5,000 cash was handed over to Tatay for his medicine.

The Facebook group Quarantine Tribute Tips has been active in making generous donations and relief efforts to those in need. On the Facebook page of Ayla Conda, the group shared the several projects and initiatives they made. They gave grocery items to several street dwellers, vendors who are in need, and those who were affected by the recent typhoons.
