The local government of Pasay City is offering free shuttle rides and launching a virtual jobs fair in time for Pasay Day.
In line with the celebration of its 157th founding anniversary, the Pasay city LGU is offering free shuttle rides starting Dec. 2 until Dec. 30.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano made the announcement on Facebook.
She said the “Libreng Sakay” will start from SM MOA to SM Manila vice versa, passing through Pasay City Hall and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) office.
Mayor Emi shared that the free shuttle service was made possible as they partnered with the Global Electric Transportation (GET) for the roll out of three electronic jeepneys (e-jeeps). Each e-jeep can accommodate 15 passengers.
Meanwhile, as many are burdened with the financial impact of COVID-19, the Pasay LGU is also holding a virtual jobs fair. Over 3,500 job vacancies are waiting to be filled up and will be participated by five companies, Bench, RC Cola, Meralco, Concentrix and Placer 8.
The Pasay Public Information Office urged their residents to join and apply.
To top it all off, the Pasay LGU is also giving away free bikes by simply sharing your “pandemic story.” On Facebook, they shared, “Isulat na ang Istorya ng Buhay Mo nitong Pandemya at manalo ng libreng bisikleta! Deadline of entries is until December 12, 2020.”
