Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has hiked the salaries of government nurses in their city.

Under Ordinance No. 8700, the salary grade of entry-level nurses in district hospitals and the Manila Health Department will be increased from salary grade 11 to salary grade 15. The salary grades of other nurse positions were also upgraded.
On Facebook, Mayor Isko shared the good news and announced the adjustments that are expected to be made following the signed ordinance.
He wrote, “Pinirmahan na po natin ang ordinansang nagtataas ng salary grade ng mga Nurse I entry level position sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Maynila.”
The adjustments on the salary grade of Manila nurses are as follows: Nurse I- from SG 11 to SG 15, Nurse II- from SG 15 to SG 17, Nurse III- from SG 17 to SG 19, Nurse IV- from SG 19 to SG 20, Nurse V- from SG 20 to SG 22 and Nurse VI-SG 22 to SG 24.
Mayor Isko continued that the positions of those under the Manila Health Department (MHD) will also be modified.
He explained, “Sa ilalim ng ordinansa, modified na rin po ang mga position sa MHD at ang anim na district hospital ng lokal na pamahalaan: From Nurse II with SG 15, to Nurse I with SG 15, From Nurse III with SG 17, to Nurse II with SG 17, From Nurse IV with SG 19, to Nurse III with SG 19, From Nurse V with SG 20, to Nurse IV with SG 20, From Nurse VI with SG 22, to Nurse V with SG 22, From Nurse VII with SG 24, to Nurse VI with SG 24.”
