Hungary has started accepting applications for full scholarship to Filipino students.
New Ambassador of Hungary to the Philippines Dr. Titanilla Tóth made the commitment that as part of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, they will continue to sponsor full scholarship grants to deserving Filipino students.
During a virtual meeting with President Duterte, the ambassador said, “Hungary is a stable and reliable partner in Europe to your country.”
“Aiming to build our people-to-people contact, Hungary offers 35 full degree full scholarships to Philippine students every year, and we would like to extend this number in the upcoming years,” she added.
President Rodrigo Duterte welcomed Hungary’s efforts and thanked them for their support. He said, “Let me express appreciation for Hungary’s scholarships for Filipino students pursuing advanced degrees in your country. This will help foster amity and mutual appreciation between our peoples. These augur well for the future of our relations.”
Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships are full degree programmes fully funded by the Government of Hungary. The grant will include the tuition, application and visa fees, health insurance, as well as accommodation (or housing allowance) and a monthly stipend. Applicants can choose between 27 host institutions and 415 study programmes. The courses are offered in English. Duration of study programmes vary from 2-4 years.
