Dr. Lennon Vasquez and Dr. Jonah Nival, both residents-in-training at the Metropolitan Medical Center in Manila are proving that despite being frontliners against COVID-19, they can still follow their hearts. The couple staged their prenup at the hospital where they are working.

It was indeed a “love in the time of covid,” as the couple posed wearing their PPEs and took photos at the rooftop of the hospital. According to Dr. Jonah, they were even going for the “K-drama feels.”

She wrote on Facebook, “Giving you KDrama feels! And yesssss, we are spreading LOVE amidst PANDEMIC! Eto po ay alay sa kapwa naming healthcare workers na patuloy na lumalaban sa kabila ng panganib na dulot ng COVID-19. Isa po sa amin ay naging biktima rin ng sakit. But in the end, love and faith prevails.”

For Dr. Lennon, the decision to convince his fiancèe to get married amid the pandemic happened after he contracted and survived COVID-19.

“There was a time of weakness and thinking of giving up, especially that time I find myself with the severe phase of the disease,” said the 32-year-old doctor, who was put in charge of the COVID-19 ward.

Dr. Lennon said they want to send a message to frontliners. “There is still hope after all and a time to love. Sooner or later this pandemic will someday end,” he said.

Advance congratulations!
