Basel, the adopted son of the Philippines as he calls himself, also known as the Hun
gry Syrian wanderer once again brought back the spirit of bayanihan. Together with his team, uploaded on his Instagram and Facebook page are the photos of them while they are preparing the relief goods. These are soon to be delivered to people affected by the recent flo oding caused by the three consecutive ty phoons that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Posted via Instagram, “Yeyemenin style relief goods (pampa good vibes for our Kababayan affected by the flood). will be sending relief goods to Cagayan, Isabela, Rizal & Marikina #BringingBackBayanihan.” Seeing his efforts to give help to the people of his second home melted the heart of many Filipinos.
“Basel, soar high for serving our people with your generous big h
eart. Keep safe and always healthy. MABUHAY KA!!! My snappy salute!!! Mula sa sambayanang Pilipino!!!” said one of his followers.
While another expressed his heartfelt gratitude,” Brother Basel, from me and the Republic of the Philippines, we want to say thank you so much for your kindness and for your love for our country and to the Filipino people!”
This made it clear that helping people does not require any nationality nor boundaries. With pure intentions and compassion, a wou
nded h eart will surely heal in no time.
Despite the many circumstances, it is evident that if only people will always extend a helping hand to one another, people can surpass any difficulty that life may bring.
