The Philippine representative for Miss Earth 2020 has won two awards in the pageant’s preliminaries.
Roxie Baeyens has impressed the Miss Earth judges as she bagged the awards for Best in Talent for Dance category and Best in Long Gown (For Asiana and Oceana).
On Instagram, the beauty queen thanked those who greeted and helped her win the awards.
She wrote, “Hi everyone thanks for the love! Beyond grateful to have bagged the Best in Long Gown and Best in Talent (Dancing Category) during the Preliminary Round. Congratulations also to my Queen sisters!”
For her long gown, Roxie wore an intricately designed deep red long gown. It was inspired by the Filipino heroine, Darna as it had beads that resemble its iconic stars and gold cuff. The stunning gown was designed by Rian Fernandez.
According to Roxie, she personally chose Darna because she exemplifies women empowerment. “She embodies a strong phenomenal woman who helps people who cannot defend themselves,” she said.
Roxie is a 23-year old beauty queen from Besao, Mt.Province. She is a tourism graduate and an aspiring actress. Born and raised in Baguio City, Roxie learned to love nature and care for the environment.
She will vie for the title of Miss Earth 2020 which will be held on 29th, November this year.
