Giselle Sanchez gave a few advice on how couples can keep their relationship strong.
The comedienne recently celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary with her husband Emil Buencamino. The couple renewed their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony with their family.
Giselle shared on Magandang Buhay how she and husband kept their relationship strong despite the challenges of married life. First, she said it’s important to make an effort to keep the fire burning between the couple.
“Kailangan talaga may kilig factor everyday. Nung kinasal kami, parang kinilig ulit ako, kasi siyempre iba ‘yung tingin niya. ‘Ang ganda ko,'” she said.
When asked how couples could bring back the spark again, Giselle advised, “Iwasan ang drama. Tayong mga asawa kasi we tend to be dramatic.
She also advised wives to be patient and to quit complaining.
Palaging complain, complain. Complaining and gloating ay tanggalin natin sa sistema natin. Huwag tayong reklamo nang reklamo kasi ang sakit talaga niyan sa tenga,” she said.
Lastly, Giselle stressed the importance of self-care. She said, “Number 3, take care of yourself. Importanteng alagaan mo ang sarili mo.”
