Senator Manny Pacquiao shared a short but positive message on children wearing face masks that bear his face.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic and series of calamities that the country is facing, the boxing champ still wants to uplift others even if it means making fun of his face. He didn’t seem to mind and was even amused with the funny-looking face masks.
On Instagram, the senator shared a photo of two kids whose big smiles were hidden behind a face mask that looks like Pacquiao. Instead of spreading COVID-19, Pacquiao said it is best to “continue to spread happiness.”
Pacquiao also shared a video message of his prayer and message to his ‘kababayans’ amid these challenging times.
He said, “Mga Kababayan ko, sabay-sabay tayong manalangin bilang isang bansa. Naniniwala po ako na makapangyarihan ang ating mga dasal dahil we have a loving and merciful God. We pray and we will help the families affected by Super Typhoon Rolly.”
Pacquiao has also been busy with helping raise funds for relief efforts. Recently, he was named the brand ambassador of two big brands, Mobile Legends Philippines and Globe Telecom. Instead of keeping the talent fee he got, he decided to just donate it to relief efforts for those in need.
He shared, “Proud and grateful to be chosen as Globe’s newest ambassador. The endorsement fee will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses. May God bless everyone.”
