When we think about
flood, we think of nothing but murky dark waters that bring mud and devastation. That’s the reason many netizens were impressed to see that in Pakil, Laguna, waters that flooded their community were blue and clear. The photos shared by resident and Lorraine Atanzo quickly became viral.
According to Pakil Mayor Vince Soriano, the photos were taken at Malaking Ilog, Barangay Burgos. He said that the water came from a spring resort and their town has been declared as a Fish Sanctuary. He disclosed that the photos were taken after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses.
He also thanked Lorraine who shared the viral photos and made many Filipinos smile.
Mayor Vince also said that the fishes that were swept by the typhoon can be caught by the residents for free.
