- Ivana Alawi’s mom, Fatima Marbella, donated the P500,000 she received from her daughter as birthday gift
- She gladly donated it to the relief efforts of Ivana for the residents in Cagayan and Isabela who were affected by Typhoon Ulysses
Ivana Alawi’s mother, Fatima Marbella, or fondly called online as “Mama Alawi” decided to share her blessings to those who need it the most these days.
After the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses, many residents from Cagayan province lost their homes and livelihood due to floodings. As many of our “kababayans” struggle to survive and get through another day, Ivana’s family decided it’s time to give a helping hand.
As Mama Alawi celebrated her birthday, she received a bunch of gifts from her family. Among her gifts was a check worth P500,000 from Ivana. Mama Alawi was indeed surprised and grateful for the generous gift but instead of keeping it for herself, she decided to donate it to Ivana’s relief efforts.
On her vlog dedicated to her mother’s birthday, Ivana shared how proud she is of her mother’s generosity and selflessness.
“May golden heart. On the spot, gusto niya agad ibigay ‘yung regalo ko sa kanya,” she said.
“Sobrang na touch ako, parang nai-inspire talaga ako kay mom na the first thing she thought of was ibigay kung ano man ‘yung meron siya,” Ivana added.
The popular vlogger recently made a personal visit to Cagayan to provide aid to families affected by the severe flooding brought by Typhoon Ulysses.
Ivana even personally helped pack the relief goods they distributed in Cagayan and Isabela. She also shared how she felt overwhelmed to see the happiness in the people’s smiles when she made a visit.
“Repacked and distributed relief goods para sa mga naapektuhan ng Bagyong Ulysses dito sa Isabela at Cagayan,” she wrote on Facebook.
