The actress has said the reason why she wants to help is simply because it is part of her role as a Filipino. Angel said extending help to her ‘kababayans’ is part of being a Filipino and she wants to inspire others to do the same too.

She said during an interview in We Rise Together, “Yun lang naman talaga ‘yon.

Angel said she started vlogging also because she wants to help and give jobs to those who lost their livelihood when ABS-CBN was shut down.

So doon kami nagsimula. Para magamit mo rin ang platform mo to raise awareness o makapag-give back din sa mga tao,” she stated.

Just this year, Angel took an active part in various relief efforts and initiatives for the country. When the Taal Volcano erupted, Angel sent relief goods. She even went to Mindanao to also give aid when a series of earthquakes shook the region. Angel helped build COVID-19 isolation facilities and recently, she also helped residents who were affected by the devastating typhoons.
