A Dubai employer surprised her Filipino worker with a bundle of cash for her son’s college and even for the construction of their home.
Social media influencer Alex Hirschi, also known as Supercar Blondie, has prepared a surprise to honor her Filipina employee named Avelina. The 50-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker has been working for Supercar Blondie for two and a half years in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
According to Alex, she wanted to thank Avelina for working hard.
She wrote, “A very special employee of mine has been saving up to send her son to college. I want to take this weight off her shoulders with this surprise. Thank you so much for all your hard work, Avelina.”
In the video made by Alex for Avelina she shared how she planned her surprise. She said, “For a very special employee of mine, what we’ve done is we’ve set up these lights so all of my employees will come through that door. But that’s all for a show,”
“I want to take this weight off her shoulders with this surprise,” she said
Later on in the video, Alex can be seen handing Avelina a bouquet of flowers and a box filled with cash. “This is enough money to send your son to college and build a home,” Alex said.
Avelina couldn’t help but be emotional and said, “I am a millionaire now.”
Alex went on to ask Avelina not to leave them; thanking her for her help.
“We appreciate you so much that you have to leave your family behind and work with us in order to earn money and take it back to your family. We just want to help you a little bit, but don’t leave us,” she said.
