- Robredo said Dee makes all these good deeds even without any publicity
Vice President Leni Robredo lauded Enchong Dee for extending help to those in need as the COVID-19 pandemic drags on.
The Vice President named Dee as one of the celebrities who extended help without any publicity. She said the actor has been very hands-on in his volunteer work. Robredo said there are even times when Dee gives surprise visits to the Office of the Vice President (OVP) just to give food to other volunteers.
Robredo said during an online interview with G3 San Diego, “May mga artista na silently, very very silently tumutulong. Example, si Enchong.
Robredo even went on to share how Dee volunteered to help disinfect her office knowing that lots of people go there everyday.
She said, “Three weeks ago siguro, nagsabi si Enchong na magvo-volunteer daw siya.
According to the Vice President, Dee explained that the office should be unoccupied for the disinfection, so they decided to do it after office hours. She was surprised to see the actor doing the task himself.
Robredo said, “Siya mismo ‘yung naglilinis! Parang for him to do that, more than what is expected.”
Last April, Dee also donated 500 personal protective equipment and food to the OVP.
