Manila Mayor Isko Moreno celebrated a day before his actual birthday by visiting orphanages, boystown and Home for the Aged.
A day before his 46th birthday, Mayor Isko visited and gave gift packs to institutions around Manila and Marikina. He was accompanied by Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna and his son Joaquin, who is also celebrating his birthday this month.
As part of his birthday celebration, Mayor Isko distributes food packs to children at the Asilo de San Vicente de Paul, Association de Damas de Filipinas and Manila Boystown. He also gave food packs at Canonigo covered court and Rasac covered court.
On Facebook, Mayor Isko shared photos and live videos of the events. Many netizen were also impressed and extended their birthday greetings to the Mayor.
Meanwhile, in a separate post Mayor Isko renewed his commitment to his constituents. He promised to continue working for their welfare no matter how big or small the ways are.
As the Christmas season comes near, Mayor Isko said he will make an effort to make the Manileños to still feel the traditional “Paskong Pinoy” despite facing the new normal.
Mayor Isko said, “Sa maliliit nating mga kaparaanan, hayaan niyo po kaming iparamdam sa inyo na tuloy ang Pasko sa ating minamahal na lungsod! Marami man tayong pinagdaanang mga pagsubok nitong mga nakaraang buwan, alalahanin po natin ang rason ng selebrasyon.”
“Lalo po natin kailangan magsama-sama at magtulungan sa panahon ngayon. Pag-ingatan pa rin po natin ang ating mga sarili at pagmalasakitan ang ating kapwa. Manila, God First!” he added.
