All of God’s creation should be given the equal right to live. People, animals, and all living creatures should be given the chance to enjoy all of God’s gifts, most especially the gift of life.

But above all, men are given the responsibility to protect and nurture the plants and animals.

Since men should be responsible for taking care of the living creatures, most of them became men’s most loved buddies. Dogs, cats, spiders, and many more became the pets of many people. These animals are like part of the family, so their welfare is also part of the priorities. And this is what a pet owner is expressing in a viral post on Facebook.

Social media user Mic Pitao shared on his Facebook post a photo of a reminder left by his sister.

It says, “Dear Kuya, Don’t forget to feed my cats! If you don’t feed them, I will file a case against you.” Posted on the mirror is the republic act aiming to protect the rights of the animals.

The post immediately went viral and many found this post hilarious but sensible, too; suggesting it to the fur mommies and fur daddies as a good way to secure their fur babies.

As stated on the Republic Act 10631, also known as the Animal Welfare Act of 1998, “If any person being the owner or having charge or control of any animal shall without reasonable cause or excuse abandon it, whether permanently or not, without providing for the care of that animal, such act shall constitute maltreatment under Section 9.”
