John Arcilla spoke up about criticizing incompetent government officials.
On Twitter, the seasoned actor wrote about calling out government officials who are ineffective. He said there is a difference between criticizing these officials for not doing their jobs properly and going against the government. He reminded the public that the two are not exactly the same.
John tweeted, “Magkaiba ko ang lum
alab an sa gobyerno at pumupuna sa mga hindi epektibong opisyal.”
He went on to say that criticizing incompetent officials is participation and love for countrym It is also within every taxpayer’s right and is part of what we call freedom.
“Ang pagpuna ho ay partisipasyon at pagmamahal sa bayan. Karapatan ng nagbabayad ng buwis at bahagi ng sinasabi nating kalayaan,” John added.
He stressed that the public should not be confused with this. “‘Wag ho sanang maguluhan ang isip ng ating mga mamayan,” he explained.
John’s tweet quickly went viral with over 40,000 likes on Twitter.
Last April, John also tweeted about the need for leaders who will not push for fear and hunger amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. He said our leader should unite us and not spread fear among us.
