A father wrote a letter to his child’s teacher asking for more patience and understanding for parents trying to teach their children at home amid the pandemic.
Teacher Arlene Furiel of Bangued West Central School received the letter and shared that the father asked for patience since he is also juggling work and teaching at home. He also sought help on how to properly teach his child.
The father wrote, “As parents, we are willing to do all the duties and responsibilities you gave us. We are trying our best to do the task as far as our child to learn, especially in times like these. But we are asking for your understanding.”
“The parent’s guide that you gave is not being followed due to our time. There are necessities we must do too. We teach our child by managing our time. And we hope we can give more time to our child so he can learn. We are asking you teacher for understanding,” the letter stated.
The father said he is the only one tasked to teach his child because his wife is sick. The task has taken a toll on him and he had to seek the teacher’s assistance.
All’s well that ends well as the father and the teacher met to discuss how he could properly teach his kids the lessons. The story has been shared by the Department of Education -Abra on Facebook. They also shared photos of the father and teacher discussing their lesson plan.
