On Twitter, the actress joined netizens who expressed their dissatisfaction over Pemberton’s pardon.

Just as expected, Liza’s statement was met with both positive and also negative reactions. While many praised her for standing up and being outspoken on social issues, there were also those who told her that she doesn’t know anything. One netizen went on to call Liza as “boba” who doesn’t know anything about the issues. He even related Liza’s thinking to Vice President Leni Robredo.

The netizen wrote, “What? Ang boba pala ng babaeng ito. Now naniwala na talaga akong acting lang yung kunwaring matalino siya. Stick to your craft girl. Huwag masyadong pahalata na wala kang alam sa basic comprehension on laws & current events. Lening leni ang peg.”

Liza reacted and sarcastically replied, “Ouch ang sakit. Nasaktan ako.”

Earlier, Liza also shared how disappointed she is with the Philippine government’s decision on social issues. She lamented, “Nakakaiyak na sa disappointment.”
