Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo donated boxes of essential supplies to public hospitals.
The celebrity couple donated boxes of face masks, face shields and alcohol to frontliners working against the spread of COVID-19. Jennylyn and Dennis sent the supplies to the health workers at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City and Jose P. Reyes Memorial Medical Center.
Aside from the boxes of supplies, Jennylyn also attached a heartfelt message addressed to frontliners thanking them for their service. She also motivated them to work hard and said they deserve so much more.
A copy of the letter was uploaded by a frontliner thanking the actress for her donation. Jennylyn’s Facebook page shared a copy of the letter.
The letter reads, “Thank you so much for all the work you’ve been doing. Words can’t express how thankful we all are for you. Without you, this war against COVID would have been over. We would have been defeated. You gave us a fighting chance. You saved so many lives. You are so tired and yet you continue.”
“You deserve so much better than what you are given. I am sorry for that. You are worth more than what is given to you,” Jen added.
A frontliner Lexi De Leon went to Twitter to express their gratitude to the actress. She tweeted, “Our heartfelt gratitude to @MercadoJen for extending her generous help to the frontliners of JRRMMC. THANK YOU for understanding our plight and for supporting us in our fight against COVID. Stay safe and Godbless!”
Jennylyn replied with a smiling emoji saying, “Welcome po.”
