Dante Gulapa has turned to selling lumpia after he lost his job amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The internet sensation, who went viral last year for his “eagle dance,” shared how he is determined to make ends meet for him and his three children. He has earned through gigs and guest appearances due to his online popularity but all were gone when the health crisis began.
On Facebook, Dante shared he has turned into an online food seller and urged others to try his lumpia.
He wrote, “Hi mga ka-idol! Baka may gusto umorder ng mga tinda ko po murang mura lang po gawa ni Big Papa Dante. Ako na magdeliver mismo sa bahay ninyo. Kayo na bahala sa shipping fee basta hanggang pwede ko lang deliviran.”
Dante shared the types of lumpia he is selling which includes Special Lumpia Shanghai, Special Lumpia Toge, and Special Lumpia Isda. He also said that his lumpia can be picked up using food delivery services like GrabFood and Food Panda.
Last month, Dante posted on Facebook an appeal asking his followers to help him find a job. He said he decided to leave his wife because they were always arguing.
Dante earlier wrote, “Hi po, mga ka-idol. Kumusta po kayo. Magtatanong lang po ako, baka may alam kayo na puwde kong apply-an ng trabaho, mga idol? Ang hirap ng buhay ngayon, para may pangsuporta naman po ako sa mga anak ko. I-PM lang ninyo ako kung may alam po kayo.”
