The local government of Pasig City had built a distance learning center for the use of their students and parents.
As the education system shifts to blended learning, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto understands the importance of having a stable internet connection. To aid the learners and teachers in their online classes, the local government of Pasig City has built a distance learning center that is equipped with fast WiFi connection. Here, students can download their learning materials, submit their requirements online. Teachers can also easily upload their modules conveniently.
Mayor Vico shared photos of their ongoing project.
Mayor Vico said use of the distance learning center will be as per schedule basis to avoid overcrowding.
Mayor Vico also said that the project was in cooperation with a private company, FinAsia.
Earlier, Mayor Vico announced that their local government was able to raise P1.2 billion to purchase learning gadgets for public school students in Pasig City. Students in elementary to senior high school will receive free tablets or laptops from the local government.
