- Monmon’s kindness impressed many netizens
A 6-year-old boy has earned the praise of many netizens when he showed that generosity and kindness knows no age.
For Don Rishmond Cerbito, or Monmon, he would rather help other children buy toys. Monmon decided to buy school supplies and milk to give away to other children in their neighborhood in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.
Monmon’s father is working as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in the Middle East while his mother is an online seller.
According to Monmon’s father, they coordinated with the barangay officials of Barangay Citrus, Sapang Palay, so they can distribute Monmon’s gifts to other children. Inside a plastic envelope, there were pencils, eraser, sharpener, crayons and paper for incoming Kinder and Grade 3 students.
He added that last month, Monmon also helped distribute free milk to their neighborhood kids.
“Nung time po [na] nag-start ‘yung pandemic, nakita n’ya po sa Facebook ‘yung mga batang dumedede ng tubig na may asukal lang at kape,” he shared with ABS-CBN News.
He admitted they are not rich but they supported their child’s wish to help others.
The proud father couldn’t help but be impressed with his child’s kindness and hoped many would be inspired and extend help to others as well.
