Cavite is eyeing big plans as it will soon open the country’s biggest COVID-19 testing center, offer free wifi connection for their students and even roll out a vaccine ID system.
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla shared on Facebook that a testing lab will soon open at the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas that can run 3,000 COVID-19 tests a day for seven days a week. They are also building two more laboratories in the province. Once all becomes fully operational, they will have a combined capacity of 10,000 tests a day. Remulla added, “Making it the biggest in the country.’
For their educational plan, Remulla said they are eyeing to provide free wifi connectivity for all their learners
In preparation for the COVID-19 vaccine, Remulla said Cavite will have its own provincial ID system. “Base sa narinig ko sa SONA, tanging bakuna na lamang ang ating hinihintay para labanan ang sakit na ito,” Remulla said.
The province’s governor continued that while they are busy trying to curb the spread of COVID-19, they are also preparing and planning for their future step.
Remulla said, “If our hands are full in the containment strategy, then our best minds should have the FORESIGHT and prepare for the arrival of the vaccine. The good news is we are now crafting a proactive & viable plan for Cavite. Now, let us all come together and create a plan for the country.”
