Sen. Nancy Binay consoled ABS-CBN family; saying that its closure will only make them stronger.
Following the House of Representatives’ decision to reject the granting of the network’s franchise, Binay gave a few words of encouragement to all those who are part of ABS-CBN. Binay said she empathizes with all those who feel the “h
eartbreak” of the network’s permanent closure.
“I share the hurt and he
artbreak in every Filipino home, and the tears of more than 11,000 workers who were denied of hope,” she said.
Binay continued by asking the leaders to help those who have lost their jobs, especially in these difficult times.
She said, “I can only ask our leaders what their plans are for the thousands who lost their jobs.
She said that with the closure of ABS-CBN, the public now needs a louder voice to help awaken those who are indifferent to national issues.
“To the ABS-CBN Family, what hur
ts you today will make you even stronger tomorrow.
According to Binay, the House has ended its “show” but ABS-CBN should only consider this a pause or intermission until they will soon resume broadcasting.
She said, “Sa ngayon, tinapos na po nila (House) ang palabas. Inilabas na wala nang palabas.”
“But consider everything as a pause or an intermission.
