15-year-old Pinoy singer gets four chair turns on The Voice Kids UK

A young Filipino singer earned the nod of all four judges at the singing competition, The Voice Kids UK.

Joshua Regala amazed the judges during the blind auditions for the fourth season of The Voice Kids UK. The 15-year-old singer sang his rendition of English singer Calum Scott’s “You Are The Reason” on the show. He received a four chair turn from the judges will.i.am, Paloma Faith, Danny Jones, and Pixie Lott.

Joshua, who hails from the town of Navan in County Meath, Ireland even had her Pinay mom Marcisa Regala on stage after his impressive performance. Paloma Faith asked Joshua to share a duet with his mother. His mom works as a nurse at the Dublin Connolly Hospital in Ireland.

Calum Scott, the singer behind the song Joshua performed on the show was also impressed. He shared Joshua’s performance on Instagram and wrote, “Still mad to hear my song being performed on auditions, total full circle! Massive congratulations Joshua on such an amazing performance last night.”

According to Calum, his song climbed to number 17 on the iTunes charts right after the blind auditions. Pixie Lott, one of the The Voice Kids UK judges also commented, “Beautiful song and so amazing isn’t he?”

Joshua couldn’t believe his success and thanked Calum for his kind words. He also posted on Instagram and wrote, “Once again thank you @calumscott so so much for posting my blind audition. Still cant believe that this is real.”
