Award-winning actress Judy Ann Santos will be hosting a documentary-drama television program that will tell stories of kindness of ordinary people, which, according to actress, has been an “overdue” project.
The show, entitled “Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan,” will start airing on June 13 as part of the maiden line up of the new Kapamilya Channel which will be shown on cable and satellite TV channels.
Santos bared in an interview that she was overwhelmed when the offer was made to her but immediately accepted it; believing that telling stories of kindness and inspiration is a long overdue project.
“Para sa akin, long overdue na ipakita natin ang kindness ng bawat isang tao na hindi lang celebrity or ng pulitiko,” Santos said; adding that initially, she couldn’t help asking how they will film the show amid the pandemic.
“First time ito sa akin. Lahat hangga’t maaari, dumaan sa proseso kung lalabas ka. It’s a tedious thing to do but everything and everyone should go through a first in their lives,” the actress added.
While expressing how thankful she is that the show was offered to her “because you’ll be able to help more people even through small acts, she also sent appreciation to the people behind the camera.
“At 42, hindi ko maiisip na magiging four-man team kami na gagawa ng spiels. There’s a lot of appreciation for people behind the camera more so now. Kung dati, iba ‘yung respeto ko sa kanila, mas mataas lalo ang respeto ko ngayon. It’s not an easy job to do,” Santos said.
