Derek Ramday joins many celebrities extending their assistance to the government’s efforts against coronavirus.
The actor reached out to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who are quarantined at the World Trade Center. Derek gave away the quarantined OFWs packed donuts. On Instagram, Derek thanked Dunkin Donuts, which he endorses for the snacks.
He wrote, “Thank you Dunkin Ph for making our OFWs quarantined at the World Trade Center happy.”
Derek also thanked the World Trade Center for welcoming his donation. He also said that personnel from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) have been “taking good care” of his kababayans at the facility.
“It’s very kind of the World Trade Centerenter to open its facilities for our fellow kababayans. Thank you too sa AFP for taking good care of them,” he said.
This isn’t the first time Derek extended his assistance to those affected by the enhanced community quarantine. He had earlier also gave away boxes of donuts on the streets with some help from the AFP and the GMA’s Kapuso Foundation.
In an earlier video post of Derek, the actor shared his reflections and thoughts on the continuing enhanced community quarantine. He admitted how it has been stressful and difficult for him.
He said, “I’ll be honest, I’m not gonna say it’s easy. It’s really tough.”
Derek said he is taking the time for reflection and focusing on things that truly matter.
“You just really have to focus, it’s a time for reflection. It’s a time to realize things that you know, that maybe we’ve been prioritizing the wrong things in our liv
