Amid the COVID-19 health crisis, Bea continues to whip up some food to send to frontliners working hard on the government’s efforts against coronavirus. This time, she is joined by her follow celebrity, Vhong. Together, they prepared over 500 food packs for frontliners and students who were stranded in their dormitories amid the lockdown.

According to Bea, this batch of food packs was for the stranded students of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) in Quezon City and for frontline workers of the organization Youth for Nationalism and Democracy and the Office of Vice President Leni Robredo.

Vhong joined Bea with her friend and movie producer Rina Navarro in their charity group called I Am Hope.

On Instagram, Bea shared photos of her Arroz a la Cubana and wrote, “Even though we’re miles away from each other, it was as if I was cooking right next to them, with the same goal of putting smiles on people’s faces and filling their tummies with food prepared with LOVE and HOPE.”

More photos were shared showing Vhong’s home with tables filled with food packs he and Rina prepared.

Vhong wrote, “[Arroz a la Cubana] challenge,” Vhong said. “Para po ito sa 500 UP students and women frontliners na na-stranded at hindi na nakauwi sa kani-kanilang mga probinsiya.” Truly, inspiring!
