A 90-year-old grandmother from Quezon City recovered from COVID-19.
Natalia Vicente was greeted by her family and the health workers who took care of her at the Philippine Heart Center when she was finally discharged from the hospital. At the age of 90, many were definitely worried when Nanay Natalia was tested positive for COVID-19. But they were all greeted with good news when the grandma survived and recovered after 44 days.
Nanay Natalia was brought to the hospital on April 6 due to pneumonia. Later on, she was tested for COVID-19 and was found positive.
After being discharged from the hospital, Nanay Natalia was excited to be home and be back in her sari-sari store in Barangay West Kamias in Quezon City. What’s even more impressive is that Nanay Natalia is also a Big C survivor back in 2013.
According to Nanay Natalia’s grandchild, it was difficult for the family to be apart as their grandma was fighting COVID-19 alone.
When they were on their way home, Beng shared how Nanay Natalia didn’t expect she could recover from the disease.
