Vickie Rushton encourages Filipinos to take up free The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Online courses.
The former beauty queen and actress advised other Pinoys to make use of their time and study online courses offered for free by TESDA.
Vickie shared that she has finished three online courses and is looking forward to studying more.
She wrote on Instagram, “Earlier today, I finished my third online course. It feels so good to do something productive while on quarantine.”
Vickie went on to share that there are actually 68 courses offered by TESDA online. Topics are very varied and are self-paced depending on our availability of time.
She wrote, “Last April 13, I enrolled myself in the TESDA Online Program (TOP). TOP offers 68 online courses for free and they are all self-paced. I took courses under Agriculture, Entrepreneurship and 21st Century Skills. The topics in these courses are so useful and timely. Since I love gardening, it broadened my knowledge about growing plants and the importance of having a sustainable garden or ‘survival garden’ in our backyards. I’m also sharing some notes under Managing Your Personal Finances.”
Vickie said taking up free online courses are perfect nowadays that the enhanced community quarantine has been extended.
She wrote, “Since the ECQ has been extended until May 15, I thought of sharing this with you. Enrollment is quick and easy. Just go to e-tesda.gov.ph. May certificate din after!”
TESDA Director General Sec. Isidro Lapeña had earlier announced that they are offering 68 short online courses that would be available for those who wish to learn a new craft or need to advance their technical skills.
