- Photo of ‘mommy dog’ having selfie with her beloved puppies resurfaced online
- One netizen said the photo serves as remembrance before the pet owner gives the puppies to the neighbors
- It is a common practice in the Philippines to give some of the offspring of their pet dogs to neighbors
An adorable photograph of a ‘mommy dog’ seriously looking in front of the camera as she takes selfie with her beloved puppies has resurfaced online after it was shared by Misty Madrigal on Facebook.
Misty captioned the photo, “Selfie muna bago ipamigay sa kapitbahay.” [Selfie before giving the puppies to the neighbor.]
Her caption could be attributed to the common practice in the Philippines wherein pet owners give some of the offspring of their dogs to neighbors so that these would receive proper nourishment and care as raising a lot of dogs could be expensive and hard to manage. Besides, that decision assures that the cute doggies will be properly taken cared of.
As of posting, the netizen’s post has reached about 12,000 reactions and at 852 shares. Many social media users expressed admiration to the cute photo.
One said, “These are cute dogs. So lovely. I want to take care of one puppy.” Another commented, “Everytime I see pictures like this, the more I feel convinced that dogs are just like humans.”
“This would serve as remembrance for her children,” another comment reads.
The original source of the photo could no longer be verified as it has already been shared by many netizens multiple times on several social media platforms like Facebook and Pinterest. Nevertheless, the cuteness and the thought that appears in the picture was epic; perhaps the reason why it is still making rounds online.
What an adorable photograph of dogs! We’re wishing for a reunion for these doggies; hopefully to receive similar attention online.
