While many anticipate Valentine’s Day to spend a romantic day with their loved ones, others dread it as it reminds them of loneliness.

This has driven a 29-year-old man in United States of America to celebrate the global event in a different way. For several years now, Seth Stewart has been giving out flowers to widows, single women, and military spouses in Spokane, Washington to make sure that they are not forgotten during the special day.

According to a report, Stewart and his brothers visit the houses of women who had lost their husbands or had their partners deployed overseas on the morning of Valentine’s Day.

“Every single year we do this, there are always one or two women who break down sobbing because it means so much to them,”Stewart said in a report.

It was also bared that Stewart keeps a list of all the women and mothers in his area while he also maintains a Facebook page where he asks netizens to send him additional names of women he can include in the list.

Stewart’s project dubbed as “Rose Rush” started in 2011. “We deliver roses to women who don’t have anyone to spend that special day with, free of charge,” Stewart said on Facebook.

Stewart further bared that they generally deliver about 500 free roses every year but this year they had delivered 700 roses to women across the region with the help of a delivering team.
