On a Facebook post last February 12, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto excitedly shared the good news to his constituents.

He uploaded a photo of himself holding his newly signed resolution related to the cash gift that was initially approved by the Pasig City Council.

“#justsigned. Resolution approving cash gifts for our public ES and HS students graduating with honors!” wrote Sotto on the caption.
The amount of cash gifts will depend on the honor of the graduating public school student.

For elementary honor graduates, the cash gifts will range from P500 to P1500. High school honor graduates, on the other hand, will be able to receive P1000 to P3000.

Meanwhile, netizens have expressed their joy and appreciation over this newly signed resolution that will benefit many public school students.

“Wow! Good job our dearest Mayor Vico! Matutuwa po ang mga estudyante niyan at lalo na yung mga parents. Maiinspire ang lahat na mag-aral pa nang mabuti and sa mga parents na magwork hard pa kasi tunay na may biyaya pagtapos ng pagsisikap! Keep it up, Mayor Vico. God bless you more,” wrote AGV.
