- AGT judge Alesha Dixon said she was shocked that Marcelito Pomoy placed fourth in the competition
- Many netizens aired their frustration and disappointment over the results
- During Marcelito’s first performance on AGT, judge Alesha described Marcelito’s talent as unique and “like no other”
It sure looks like not just netizens but even a judge of America’s Got Talent: The Champions was also surprised with the result.
Judge Alesha Dixon took to Twitter her reaction after Marcelito Pomoy placed fourth in the competition.
Reposting a video of the announcement of the fourth place, she tweeted, “Wow. I’m shocked. @marcelitopomoy8 takes 4th place. Are you shocked as well?! #AGTChampions.”
The tweet opened a barrage of reactions from netizens. Many Pinoy fans were, of course, disappointed with the results. Many netizens were impressed with Marcelito’s final performance singing, “We Are the Champions” by the Queen. There were those who thought Marcelito should have gotten a much higher ranking. There were also a few who believed he could have chosen a much better piece for the grand finals.
A netizen tweeted, “Super shocked!! For me, Marcelito deserves to win.”
Another said, “The true winner is Marcelito! As you can see in the video views, the whole world loves him because he has a unique talent from God!”
Another also shared her disappointment, “Expected na yan lagi, ‘di naman pang grand finals ‘yung song na kinanta niya. Nagmukha lang siyang guest na may kasama pang background na production na kung ano-ano, di focus sa kanya. Hayyyy.”
During Marcelito’s first performance on America’s Got Talent: The Champions singing Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s “The Prayer,” judge Alesha was already impressed with Marcelito.
She earlier said his performance was like no other. Judge Alesha said, “I want to see something different, something unique and Marcelito you just gave that to us. It was absolutely brilliant.”
